D610 video driver

Help, just loaded windows 7 on my D610 and device manager is reporting there is no vidoe driver installed. I've tried the normal update routes but can't seem to find a driver that is supported by Windows 7.  Any ideas if there is one and where I might find it?

Oh, think the video is intel

Help...

Intel would be your best bet - Dell doesn't have 7 drivers for this model.

Fantastic, went to the intel site and got the driver. Bingo, all is well.

Thanks for your help, I'll try and remember in future to go to the manufacturers site.

Cheers

Windows 7 requires a wddm v1.0 or higher driver for complete video capabilities. Intel's hardware limitations in your chipset means there is not a wddm driver for it. The D610 is a little long in the tooth (like about 6 years old) to expect full Windows 7 compatibility.

However....having said that...perhaps a workaround might get you going:
