Dell 15z Screen Issue
About a month after purchase, my new Dell 15z's screen suddenly went off while being used. Although almost completely black I noticed there was a very faint image of the desktop still visible. I attached an external monitor and the system works fine. Now when I switch back to laptop mode or booting up without an external monitor, we see the following vertical lines:
The screen has no physical damage and I would like confirmation that this issue would be covered by the standard 1 yr Dell Warranty.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

It should be covered - the screen does need to be replaced.

So then, screen replacements are covered by the standard warranty on this. Unfortunately I need some real clarification on this matter rather than a should or maybe. Can someone from Dell please let me know as soon as possible.

Why not just contact support?

Basically, I purchased said laptop from eBay listed as a 'brand new' item with 12 month Next Business Day warranty. After this problem occurred I contact Dell Support and found out that the warranty was not in my name and I would need the original owner to do a Transfer of Ownership.
I then contacted the eBay seller who could not provide me with that information so I requested a full refund to which he agreed. Now it's back in his possession, he is claiming that the Dell Warranty would not cover this issue even if we had it and wants me to pay for the repair before issuing a refund! Absolute nonsense of course and when I have contacted Dell they say every time that this would be covered. Unfortunately they are not willing to put this in writing as I'm not the registered owner - so without this proof the eBay seller is refusing to budge.
I even questioned whether or not it's actually a stolen laptop, to which he says he cannot be certain, and I have no reason to expect anything less than full refund. Unfortunately eBay are offering no help as 45 days of Buyer Protection have passed and my credit card company say they cannot issue a charge back as the laptop needs repair.
I have subsequently ordered a new XPS directly from Dell so really need this refund to be sorted out.
Any suggestions or advice from Dell here?
