Dell D630 CPU swap
I am currently repairing 2 Dell D630s for our family. One has an intel core duo 2.0 and the other a 2.2. Can the two processors be swapped? I would like to put the 2.2 in the one I will be using as it has a bigger hard drive and better condition LCD. If they do swap, is it just plug and play and the computer will just recognize the change? Thanks

It is a plug and play swap. Remember: YOU MUST clean off the old thermal pad and install a new one when you break the seal between the heatsink and CPU.
