Dell Inspiron 1545 - Touchscreen capable

I have a Inspiron 1545 with Windows 7 and was wondering if by any chance it was Touchscreen capable? I am kinda computer illiterate, lol, so have no idea if it is even possible. If so where in settings/properties is it or what software is needed. Thanks

Hi lafd55,

Inspiron 1545 did not ship with touch screen LCD.Adding software would not help in making it touchscreen capable.

It depends on the system model. Some system models come with touch screen LCD.

For example Inspiron™ One 2320 comes with touch screen display.

Thank You

Roshan

For people that are a bit more computer literate, would this model allow a screen replacement with touch-screen capabilities (and allow usage of the that touch-screen)?

No.  Even if you install a touch panel, it likely won't work at all (the system never had the option) and there is no touchscreen controller in the system anyway, so even if the screen works, the touch won't.

If you really want a touch panel, you can add an external.
