Dell Inspiron 6000 bug ?

I got brand new Dell Inspiron 6000 laptop and besides some other Dell Support issues I found weird problem with Symantec's "Norton WinDoctor" program.
I am running WinDoctor directly from CD. The first Scan takes about 35-45 seconds, depends how much stuff you have on the machine, however any following scan takes much, much longer - almost 5 minutes!!
I tried to quit the application and run it again, it wont help.
The only remedy is restart the machine and the same thing happens again.
I never noticed this problem with any other machine, so I tested about 3 other laptops (IBM, Sony, Compaq) with W2k, W98, WXp, even Dell Dim desktop and none of the machines have this problem!

So, I am looking somebody with Inspiron 6000 to test Norton WinDoctor Scan. ( my CD version is Norton System Works 2005 Premium, but I believe any previous version should do the same)

Anybody has any idea what could be wrong here?

BTW, I called Dell Tech Support, but they wont help, claiming it's Symantec's issue. The only recommendation was to run Entended Hardware Test which is now underway, but doesn't seems to find anything wrong with machine.
Thanks in advance!

Definitely a Symantec problem and one you can ignore. Do not run Win Doctor on a Windows XP computer. It has been dropped from the Norton Utilities and all other Suites and should not be used. It caused more problems than it ever solved. Use the built in Windows XP tools and Norton AntiVirus, but forget Win doctor.

Well, I have no problem to ignore this issue if it's Symantec problem...
However, I am wondering why this problem is showing up only on Dell 6000 and not on any other of my 7 computers?
I was right about previous NSW versions, the 2002 version does it too.
BTW, the Dell's extended hardware test passed too.

I just hope this machine has no hidden agenda, which is my main concern. I would like to know for sure, before my 21 days for return expires.
Well enough, I had another issue with this machine.
After first initial boot I noticed the Autoboot on some of the CD's doesn't work.
Dell Tech Support asked me reimage the WinXp, but no help.
The next step was complete XP reinstalling from CD and the problem was gone.
Evidently, the Dell's brand new machines have loaded so much junk, that is not even capable to do trivial things such "read the CD" !!! How sad...

That's why, I am a little suspicious what's going on here. I wish to know what other program is available for "all unwanted program residues" clean-up.

Any experts here?
