Dell Laptops untested for Windows 10 upgrade
So Microsoft says my Latitude E6510 is OK to upgrade to Windows 10, but Dell has it on the untested for Windows 10 laptop list. How can I get Dell to test it so I can upgrade and get Windows 10 drivers? This is like my 5th or 6th Dell computer for personal use, not to mention another 50 or so workstations and servers that I have installed for my company. Why should I ever even consider buying another another Dell computer if Dell doesn't provide operating system upgrade paths?

Hello! If Dell has not provided drivers for your computer to upgrade to windows 10 by now, they won't. Dell is not totally responsible for the problem as well. Basically, all the chips inside the computer like audio, controllers, LAN, etc., are from different manufactures and if those companies have not made drivers available there is nothing Dell can do about it, especially in Laptops.
IF Microsoft has stated you can upgrade, it most likely means they have generic drivers that should work on your computer, however Dell assumes no liability in installing and running Windows 10 on your computer.
