Dell Latitude E5530 won't start

Hi everyone,

My Dell E5530 won't start, screen remains black and I have hard drive light solid, wifi and battery blinking.

Manual of E5530 don't give this case of blinking but knowledge base of E6540 says that a problem with memory detection, so I tried to use others memory from another E5530 without success. I tried to connect VGA port to an external monitor but the monitor remains black. And also tried to disconnect the hard drive without success.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Vincent

Battery Indicator LED

If the computer is connected to an electrical outlet, the battery light operates as follows:

Solid white — The battery is charging.
If the computer is running on a battery, the battery light operates as follows:

Off — The battery is adequately charged (or the computer is turned off).
Flashing amber — The battery charge is low. (Amber 590nm - Range: 587-593nm)
Solid amber — The battery charge is critically low.

When you start the laptop, the first thing that the BIOS does is to perform the Power-On Self-Test (POST). The POST is a built-in diagnostic program that checks the hardware to ensure that everything is present and functioning properly, before the BIOS begins the actual boot.

If the system does not perform a Power-On Self-Test, there are various things that you can look for:

Check that the system has a power light.
If the system has no power light, ensure it is plugged into AC power.
Remove the battery. Make sure the power is turned off and the system is unplugged.
Remove all CRUsf rom the system and reconnect the AC adapter to the system and try again.

Hi Jesse,

Thansk for the answer.

I've removed all CRUs expect these, since there aren't in the manual :

- Bottom Door

- WWAN Card

- CPU Door

I've the same result.

I can't run ePSA since the computer won't boot.

Any others ideas ? :)

Regards

Vincent
