Hello. The audio chip in the Dell laptops is integrated on the motherboard. If you need a new chip the best bet is to replace the motherboard.
Note: there are other causes of lack of audio besides a failed audio chip. To help diagnose the problem, see the "No Audio" FAQ.
If your chip has actually failed, you can buy an external (usb) sound card and still have audio, but it will not be internal of course.
