Dell studio 1737 keyboard issues... Even after replacement
Certain keys stopped working even after replacing the keyboard, My keyboard stopped typing the G, H Keys the "up arrow" "left arrow" the 0, 1, and the escape key. i replaced the keyboard and the hard drive and still have the same issue. I have already tried the power flea idea. How do I fix this.

Hi,
Thank you for reaching us.
Was there any liquid spillage or damage to the previous keyboard?
Was the Hard drive replaced for a separate issue or just to get more space?
Dell replaces the keyboard and the motherboard in laptops if the issue is with 5 or more keys in the keyboard.
Now that you've already replaced the keyboard and Hard disk, I would suggest you to check with an external keyboard before we conclude this to be an issue with keyboard connector which is a part of systemboard.
Incase if you could find a known good keyboard, you may try swapping it out which will help us pin point the failed component.
Thank you

No liquid spillage involved, the hard drive was replaced as the system check indicated it was failing.
I plugged an external keyboard and had no issues. The keyboard I installed is a new keyboard and the same issues with the same keys as the old keyboard.

Hi,
Since two different keyboard has the same keys not working, it is most probably a keyboard connector failure.

I don't think you understood, the external keyboard I connected DID NOT have any problems. The external keyboard worked fine.

Hi,
Yes the external keyboard did not have any problems because it was connected to the USB port.
Two keyboards with same issue , I referred to the one you replaced and the one you have it in the laptop which also has the same keys not working.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
