Dell XPS M2010
I have been looking for more information on this laptop. The Dell Xps M2010, this is a beautiful looking machine but nobody at Dell knows anything about it. They are for sale on ebay and I have seen one at the public library in use by a gentleman at the same desk as I was at. So of course after seeing it and getting the name and model number I searched Dell for information about this model and found nothing.
I called Dell but have run into a wall. It seems that the machine has been discontinued but that information comes from sellers on ebay as nobody at Dell has ever even heard of it. It can not be that old as it runs at 2ghz up to 2.33ghz I do not know if it was sold in USA but it has all the latest hardware built in to it basically it has a 20.1 inch monitor, bluetooth keyboard, intel dual core, 4gb of ram and hard drives from 240gb up to 1tb, intel wifi 802.1a/g basically it really it is a fantastic looking laptop. I would like more information, like what year it came out & why can it only be found on ebay in Refurbished condition.
I can find nothing on Dell about it. I want one and I am looking to get more specifications about it before I blindly purchase one.
Can someone add any links or information that might be more helpful? Please post any links or information and tell Dell sales that it does exist.
Thank you
Michael :emotion-15:

My original post was removed because of a single expletive(?). :emotion-16: They were correct I should have found a better way of describing it. The following was the first reply that I got before the post was removed. I would offer credit to the user but it wasn't saved when I added the link to my favorites.

Why these manuals are great, I really would like more information. Like the year it came out and information about picking one up from Dell even if it is refurbished.
Thank you
Peace

They came out in mid-2006 and were around for about 12-18 months - a normal life cycle for a notebook computer. Beware though, that notebooks generally have a design life of about three years - after that time, problem rates rise and parts fail. This IS a notebook computer and as with all of these, many of the internal components such as the mainboard and video card are proprietary and expensive to replace.
Unless you get a very good price on one, I'd pass - the current all-in-one systems are a better idea from a reliability standpoint.
