Disabling the keyboard

I bought a new USB keyboard for my Dell Inspiron 1545, but am now having trouble disabling the laptop's internal keyboard which is faulty. I've  tried simply removing the drivers for the laptop's internal keyboard, but it reinstalls itself when I restart the laptop. My laptop was bought with Windows Vista Home Premium, but I now have Windows 7 Home Premium.

Welcome to the Community,

If you're not going to use the internal keyboard,disconnect the cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard.
