dock and undock icon position

Hi,

 

I have a D620, so i use 1440x900, with a docking station and two LCD running 1280x1024. Obviously i'm in a fight constantly with the icon position.

 

First and ideally is there something out there that would restore my icon position "docked or undocked" and detect the state "dock or undock" automaticly and place the icon accordingly.

 

Other then the automatic positionning, what people use? nview desktop? powerstrip? i know nview requires to activate the profile, kinda anoying.

 

There must be something that detects that you are docked or undock?
