Does installing RAM/SSD void a service plan?
Hi,
I have a dell studio 1458, and I have a 3-year service plan that goes along with it. I had been considering upgrading to an SSD and 8GB ram. My question was whether making these upgrades would void my warranty. Additionally, if I were to make a service request after making the change, would I need to replace the old HDD and 4GB ram before calling?

Hi mygeneration2010,
Upgrading the memory and SSD will not void the warranty on the system however, the same parts might need to get installed if required to repair the system.
Thanks & Regards
