driver issue (i think) m1330
well i still having problems with my touchpad in my m1330
it works good but time to time, appear "the synapssis touchpad has a problem and need to be closed" something like that, and the touchpad still working, the only thing that closes is the driver (the icon in the clock disappear) and i loose the scroll option.
this problem isn't to bad, to trash my computer, but it's annoying, someone told me update the driver
ok, i download the driver for dell.com (there said recommended so i think they fix something)
i download, run and all ok.
but i think that i'm installing bad the driver because then i go to mouse properties and told me that i have the 2007 version. ( i don't remember exactly the date)
i said ok, well another driver i download the driver from synaptstics, (maybe i spell badly..sorry) and i found it, i downloaded and install the driver again, but the version don't change.
maybe i'm doing this wrong
now if i go to mouse properties appear
unable to connect to synapstric pointing device driver
if you installed another pointing device please uninstall by clicking yes and then need to reinstall your pointing device.
do i need to click yes and then reboot and install my driver again?
in this perios i will still able to use my mouse, or i need to obtain a external to do this procedure?
thank you for all
i really appreciate it

I have both the synaptics and MS Intellipoint drivers installed as occasionally I use a BT mouse. Both work very well and I particularly like the fact that the touchpad disables when the mouse is switched on.
I have noticed that occasionally when I boot up my system issues a similar message about the touchpad not working correctly although a few seconds later it re-enables without issue and works fine.
All I can suggest is that you completely remove the synaptics software from your PC and re-install the latest or let windows update do this. I guess you are running Vista?

Hmm that could be your problem as Vista64bit does struggle with it's drivers. Make sure you have the A02 10.1.2 dated 25/06/08.

well
i uninstall all about the tocuhpad synaps....
so i was working with the microsoft driver
is good but don't have scroll options
then i download the driver from dell
the ""new""
and i double-click it, it descompress the files and make all the proceddure
then i reboot and the icon in the clock appear i double-click it
and appear the dell touchpad menu
i click in version and tell me that is the
dell touchpad driver
version 10.1.2
date 10/26/2007
so isn't the new
but i download the new
how can i download the driver and then unisntall this, and manual install the new ?
because i download a .exe and i want only the driver file
to install it by browsing from the driver properties window/
do you inderstand me?
because i think that the driver that i discompress (in the default route) is invissible for the computer, and i takes the old one, that maybe is storagad in my computer.
thank you

i don't think is a hardware issue because the mouse function very well the unique problem is that i lose the scroll because the driver.
