Dual External Monitors
I want to buy a new Notebook to replace my old Desktop. I have 2 24" monitors which I want to keep using with the Notebook. Many Dell Notebooks have multiple video outputs. Are all of those able to drive 2 external monitors instead of the internal one or is it only possible to use 1 external + the internal monitor. And if they are able to use two external monitors: What is the maximum supported resolution?

You're more likely to find that feature on the high-end Precision mobile workstations or the Latitude E-series than on consumer-grade notebooks (Inspiron/Studio/Studio XPS/Vostro).

In case anyone has the same question: I own a Dell Studio 1555 now and I can confirm it works without problems with two external monitors.

SO YOU PLUG ONE INTO THE VGA AND ONE INTO THE HDMI?? DO YOU HAVE TO DISABLE THE LAPTOP SCREEN?
