dual mon itor
How do I get back the ability to use multiple monitors with the extended display option (It used to work). Vostro 1000 windows xp laptop When I right click on the desktop and click properties then click on the settings tab I only see one monitor. I do not see “Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor” check box

Updating video drivers might help; use the link below to download the video driver.

Try fn +f8 which switches the video image to the next display option. The options include the integrated display, an external monitor, and both displays simultaneously.
Also update the Quickset application software using the link below.
