E1405 battery

Hi,

I have an E1405 Inspiro, WindowsXP Media Center Edition, 1GB of RAM. My battery just won't charge and the battery indicator in the laptop flashes 4 orange light and 1 green. I have noticed also that upon booting, i'm getting a message regarding my AC power supply adaptor prompting me to change to a genuine one... but it is the original one that comes with the laptop.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

While you could have just a faulty battery, it's more likely your power jack or the power supply itself is bad.

Try another AC adapter.  If it gives the same error, the mainboard needs repair (jack damaged) or replacement.

Ok, thanks. I have been using my laptop with the AC adapter and not with the battery. I'll try to find somebody who i can borrow an AC adapter to test with my unit.

Thanks again.
