E1505 error installing audio and system drivers
I am unable to reinstall the audio and system drivers for my new E1505.
I purchased the system with Windows XP Media Center. Upon arrival, I installed my own copy of Windows XP professional and completely wiped out the old drive--the factory installed Windows Media Center, Restore partition, and Media Direct partions I completely replaced with Windows XP.
I then downloaded all the E1505 drivers for Windows XP/2000 Professional. Both operating systems use the same drivers. I can install all of the drivers onto my now Windows XP Professional E1505 except for the audio Driver, R114075.exe, and the notebook system software, R114081.exe.
The notebook system software gives the error: 'This Microsoft Windows operating system service pack is not supported.'
The audio driver gives the error: 'This system does not support the driver you are attempting to install.'
The system software I'm don't care much for. What I desparately need to install is the audio driver.
Can anyone help me?

Try installing the notebook system software first, restart then install the chipset drivers, restart again followed by all other drivers. From this point on you can restart later after all the drivers are installed.
See if your computer works.

I talked to customer service multiple times to get the right files to download. I've listed the files below and the order in which to install them. I've listed the specific parts that are in my computer. You will need to install the file for the part that you have. For instance, the video card in step three may be different for you than it is for me. Also, if you have bluetooth, you'll need to get that driver as well. I don't know where it goes in the order.
1] Dell Notebook System Software R120775.EXE
2] Intel Mobile Chipset R114079.EXE
3] nVidia GeForce Go 7300 R126007.EXE
4] Ricoh R5C832 R105921.EXE
5] Broadcom 440x 10/100 Integrated Controller R113310.EXE
6] Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection R127811.EXE
7] SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio R122161.EXE
8] Conexant D110,HDA,MDC,v.92,modem R114200.EXE
9] Synaptics Touchpad R120179.EXE
10] Dell QuickSet R122667.EXE
11] Dell Inspiron 6400/E1505 System BIOS MM061A07.EXE
Afterwards, you'll also need to install or repair MediaDirect.
