E5400 can't boot from usb
I'm trying to boot from a usb pendrive but it's not working.
I've set USB to be the first boot device -- didn't work (A12 Bios) and when pressing F12 the menu only gives the options Boot from: Internal HDD, CD, NIC
Is there a way?

Have you tried looking on the Dell tech support page? I haven't checked there in quite awhile but they used to have a knowledge base page with articles on different topics. Try looking there and searching for boot drive or usb boot drive under your model. Or if you have your owners manual or if it is online, it would likely tell you what can be used as a boot drive. Its my impression that, depending on the model they may only allow it to boot from certain drives but I'm really not sure. But that likely would be model specific.
