I'm having the same problem.  I have several Dell laptops and this is the first time I have ever had a BIOS update not work.

use a bootable pendrive to patch your BIOS

I'm having the same issue. I'm in the process of configuring several new E6410 Latitudes. So far I cannot upgrade the BIOS to the A02 BIOS following the directions on the Driver download page. The laptops are all running Windows 7 64 bit OS.

That's the trick! I formatted a USB with DOS and added the A01 patch and the A02 update. Booted from the USB and ran the patch first. Then rebooted to the USB again and ran the A02 update.

Now at A02 on the BIOS.

if you have more than 2 gigs of memory try to run the patch and update with only one 2 gig ram stick in the system or less and that works until the updated patch comes out
