E6420 Error code 2000:0122

Hi,

I just had a problem with my system BSoD'ing  I T-shot down the issue to the memory.  I ran the ePSA tests and it errored out on the memory.  I rebooted the system and got an error:

No physical memory is available at the location for the Windows Boot Manager. The system can not start

I booted into the BIOS and the memory showed as there.

I had some old memory sims that I installed and the system booted but are too small for my usage

I purchased new memory and installed it.

I booted and got the same No physical memory is available error.

I reinstalled the old memory and successfully ran the ePSA tests.

I removed the old and installed the new memory and booted to the no memory error.

I know the new memory is good so how do I clear out the error in the ePSA?

I have already pulled the CMOS battery and the did not work.

Any ideas?

Good day Samero ,

Thank you for writing to Dell Community Forum !

With error code 2000-0122 involves memory  test initialization failure .If the error code follows the system even after installation of the new memory module then it denotes the slots are faulty .So replacing the system board would clear the error log and boot the system too windows.Alternatively if this system's original memory module works fine on a different system then also you can confirm the same .

I would request you to provide the system model ,service tag of the system ,system owners name ,contact no ,physical address ( via private message ) so that I can verify the details needed to assist you with a service call .

If the system is out of warranty you can purchase the part from any dell authorized re-seller or we can arrange for a quotation .

Hoping to hear from you soon .

Kindest Regards ,
