email links wont open

i did exactly what you said

i sent the www.dell.com message to myself

the message came thru with "blue" highlite but again it opened to a blank page

again i right clicked and saved it to my favorites

went to my favorites...it was last on my list and it opened to the dell home page

i don't know what other detail you need?

i subscribe to a lot of financial news emails which always have links

and i have been living with this problem until now...the "blue" links always open to a blank page...i must save as a favorite to read the ones of interest

funny thing ...any attachments do open???

Explain to me in greater detail what is going on.
If you open a new message in outlook express and type in www.dell.com will it turn into a link automatically like it should. if it will then send an email to yourself with www.dell.com in it and then see if you can open that link when you recieve it.

That is strange. Check your security settings in Internet Explorer and in Outlook to see if one of them might be the cause of the issue. You may want to play around with some of the settings and just test them.

I have a similar problem with Outlook 2002 on XP windows.  When I click on links to web embedded in email, I get a "this operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on your computer.  contact your system adminsitrator".  I am the administrator of a small home network.  I have lowered every security setting in outlook/explorer (including java custom).  I have disabled norton internet 2004.  no difference, still no links.  Help, it isd driving me nuts, I have been working on this for over a month!!
