errors when running games

Question

when running games suhc as half-life 2 and splintercell chaos theory sometimes the game will crash and the screen turns blue and says ''windows has detected an error and will now shutdown, begining dump of memory'', i have the same problem w/ my desktop (not a dell), it must be nvidia related, is anyone else having this problem? can anyone help?

customized 9300, i have an nvidea 256 mb on my laptop and a nvidia 64 mb on my desktop, i have the same prob on both computers

Check to see if there are any patches for the games and download the latest drivers for the cards.

nope - no patches, i doubt game patches are hte problem anyways, all i know is sometimes when i play games it happens, i just got the craptop wednesday

do u know the crash/blue screen im talking about? im sure you have seen it once

i made a sig w/ my laptop specs i might of did it wrong - so i'll say now

Haven't seen it myself as I don't game on my LT.

But It Does sound like heat to me if the game shuts down or you see the Blue Screen.
