Express Service Code: How do I use it?

I am negotiating for purchase of an Inspiron 5000E and I have the "Express Serice Code" for the laptop. I would like to use this code to lookup the confiruration. Where do I go on the Dell Support web site to enter this code? It doesn't seem to be used anywhere that I can find. The code is: 376-208-37

I already tried Search and Advanced Search and got about 5 pages of citations with about 1200% redundancy. Mostly, it explains where the code is located on the laptop, but NOT how/where to use it. I already have the code so this is useless info. Plus I really don't have the time to go thru 300+ links in the hope of finding the answer.

The Dell Support web site does offer some kind of downloadable program or script that can retrieve the configuration. But this laptop is non-functional so that approach wont work.

I also have the Service Tag MECF9. It indicates that the laptop may have been originally sold in Europe. No other information is available. So far I have hit a wall on on my search.

Can someone please point me to the right location for entering the Express Service Code?

Thanks in advance.

This was gotten from Dell UK website.
NOTE: on the "processor Module" - 578TU, it says P111-CU* Replace the * with an m - that was the original entry from the site but the spell checker would not let it go that way!

support.dell.com, enter service tag at top right of screen.

European models won't show extensively - you'll need to use the Dell site in the country where the system was sold.

Thankyou both very much for the quick responses.

When I previously tried the Service Tag, the web site responded that "no additional information is available. Try again later". I see that it now works, and that answers my general info need.

However, I am still curious about the Express Service Code. I guess that is just not useful on the Dell Support web site. So I wonder what use it has, if any.

I swear to sweet Jesus, I am having the SAME ISSUE!

And if I got the right response from tech support the first time around, I wouldn't waste all my time here!

Any thoughts about the quality of Apple support?  I am SO sick of Dell and Windows...
