Fan manual control

Hello I just was thinking...

Is there any problem in setting fan speed at high apart form battery lasting less time???

Thanks in advance

Hey, how do you control the fans manually? That might help me with the problem I posted about. Unless the fans are prone to motor failure, I can't see any reason besides battery drain why running them all the time would be bad.

There are utilities like I8kfanGUI...

I was wondering if overuse or friction could damage the fan

I run mine on slow all the time.  I had to replace them after 5 years, but the notebook still works good and is going on 6 years.  I had to replace a hard drive and a battery, but I can't complain.  Fans can be a bugger to replace and requires patience and some skill in computer hardware, but a lot cheaper than a new motherboard or some other expensive piece of hardware that failed due to heat.
