FF Sensor and SSD HD

I have a dell XPS 501 with windows 7, 64 bit

My Seagate HD developed a fault-- shown by  the Dell Support centre PC Checkup and instructed to replace the HD. (Microsoft CHKDSK also found problems with HD).  I replaced the mechanical drive with an SSD and  then  later Uninstalled the FF sensor program--- because I understood that it was only there to protect a mechanical HD--As far as I can see the FF sensor program is no longer in the program list but I now get a message in window action center that-

"ST Micro Screen Detection Sensor---Your sensor device has stopped working properly because a compatible driver isn't available for this version of Windows.

Can I just ignore the message, and if so  is there some way to inhibit it
