For 700 notebook, what is a memory card?

Hi,   I have a 700m and have been getting blue screen of death.  There was a post that said a memory card is bad.  Is this refering the SO-DIMM module or the built in PCMIA card?   I am not too familiar with notebooks, I do upgrade my desktops.   Thanks.

try running the dell diagnostics by tapping F12 at startup then choosing diagnostics and see what it picks up.

It saids systen memory error; suspected component located on system board at labels Bank 1 M2. Thanks.

you have a faulty memory stick. if you are still within dell warranty, call them quoting the error and they should replace the faulty stick.

if you are not within warranty, try re seating the memory stick, you may get lucky!
