Hard Disk Drive Password
Dear Sir,
I have problem with my hard disk drive of Laptop Dell Inspiron n4050 actually I have loaded its defaults from security settings by pressing F9 from system/bios settings.... now Hard Disk Drive password is not working and demanding password, I insert password that I was using from 2.5 years but it is not working.
Please help me in this regards, I am the owner of the system and have all information
No Events found!

You'll need to place a call to Dell support and have your verification information at hand. If the system is out of warranty, you'll also need a credit card - the call is not free if the warranty has expired.

I have call them and they gave me a password but it is not still working

If so, the most likely thing is that you have either a bad hard drive or a bad mainboard. You might want to try replacing the hard drive first. Before you do this, disconnect the hard drive, go into BIOS setup and CLEAR the hard drive password (enter the page where you change it, enter the password and then leave the two new password fields blank). Save and then see if a new hard drive solves the problem. If it does not, then the mainboard needs to be replaced.
