Hard drive self test unsuccessful
hello Dear
My system is having a problem. It sleeps oftenly automatically.
Its Testing Results are as:
Error Code: 2000 0142
Validation: 22481
Msg: Hard Drive 0 - S/N 5VEQLEES, Self test Unsuccessful. Status-7.
Please Please guide me to resolve it.

If the system is under warranty, call Dell with the error and they'll replace the drive under warranty. If it's out of warranty, you will need a new drive of the same type as the original - if you need further assistance choosing a replacement drive for the one you have that has failed, please post the system model information.
