Hard shutdown - Now computer fails to boot.
My computer (a Dell Latitude cpx laptop, 500 mhz) froze up on me, and after ctrl+alt+del didn't work, I just had to shut the thing off. I've done this a million times before, but this time it wouldn't boot back up. I hit power, and I hear a few noises, and the caps lock and scroll lock (The 2nd and 3rd light) blink, but in no real pattern. It's a constant on, off, each pulse lasting 1 second (1 second on, 1 second off).
I turned the computer on, and it seems like the CPU fan fails to come on. I don't see how a software error like freezing the computer could correlate to having the CPU fan fail to work. What could I do?
