Harddrive Errors
Running diag on older laptop. Inspirion 1000. Getting numerous error codes. Error Code: 0F50:0244 with MSG: Blocks 15717887. 15736456, etc. Uncorrectable data error. Is this telling me that the harddrive is bad or can I reformat and possible still be usable? thanks.

That is what i figured. Thanks for confirming. After getting over a dozen in a short time I bypassed the Read Test and now I got an error on the Verify test.

The drive has bad sectors -- replace it. Once you start seeing them, they'll keep reappearing.
