Hardware upgrade for Studio 1555
Hi All,
i am using Studio 1555 for more than 4 years now. right now i want to upgrade the hardware of the laptop. i want to upgrade the RAM first to 8GB DDR3 will it support? how much increase in the speed we will see in the system.?

The system won't take DDR-3 -- it uses DDR-2 (which unfortunately is also much more expensive now). You can install up to 2X2G DDR-2 modules -- you can't use 8. The system likely shipped with a 32-bit OS, so 8G is pointless anyway.
RAM upgrades rarely produce dramatic performance increases.
The single best upgrade would be a solid state or solid state hybrid hard drive.
