Have 700m - need bigger screen

I received a Dell 700m laptop in a promotional drawing. I’m grateful for good - and free - things, but wish it had been a different model. The 700 apparently would be an excellent choice for someone who travels, or has other need for the small size and weight. I have little need for the added mobility, and my general purpose use would be better served by a larger model. A major factor is that the screen size is not compatible with my aging eyes.  I probably need a 15 or 15.4 inch screen - - like a Dell 6000 or a comparable Toshiba.  I intend to list the 700 for sale in the local paper.  E-Bay is a possibility, but I haven’t learned that system yet.   Does anyone have any other suggestion about how I might manage a change?

You can post in some of the Hardware forums like.

Also another option would be to check some of the local mom and pop computer shops in your area and see if they would buy it or trade it.

Brace yourself for the depreciation - if you think the percentage lost in selling a car after a few months is large, wait until you see what the system sells for as a used model.

It will sell for about 1/2 of what it costs new.

If you aren't going to carry it around much, why not get an external monitor and keyboard/mouse?

THANKS TO ALL FOR COMMENTS.

I sold it last week for $800, added $200 and bought a 15.4 inch Toshiba, which is what I wanted.  Lucky timing to find buyer and seller in same weekend.
