And so... So the AMD graphics is the reason the laptop will not do high performance with gaming? or the CPU?

Is the CPU speed 1.80GHz or 2.40 GHz?

And if it's 1.80 GHz. Is an i7 CPU 1.80 GHz better than an i3 CPU 2.53 GHz (My Toshiba)?

I don't see any reference to AMD in the shots you posted.  Yes, it'll be better - but it's still a mid-range multimedia system - it'll do some gaming, but don't expect a high performance gaming experience.

The Dell will no doubt be better - but if high performance gaming is your goal, no Inspiron system will meet that goal - you need to look into the XPS at minimum and more likely, the Alienware systems for that.

You cannot get a high performance gaming notebook from any manufacturer for under $1000 - you need to budget $1500 or more for that.

I tend to agree that HP is just about the worst choice you can make, particularly its consumer models.  Some of the business class systems are decent but the consumer ones aren't, and HP support isn't very good either.

The CPU runs normally at 1.8 GHz and can burst up to 2.4 when needed -- and yes, despite the i3's faster clock speed, the i7 is a far more capable CPU.

It will also use less power.

So, inspite of that the HP is i7 2.40GHz and nVidia Graphics, this dell one is still my best choice right now?

Well, I have another question.

My i3 TOSHIBA never got too hot while playing games, I heard it has cooling vents at the back of the laptop, so while I am running a PC game, when I touch the back of the laptop I feel it cooled not too hot.

Does this dell also have cooling vents inside that maintain the CPU temperature?

Read up a few posts - I said the same thing.  You're clearly looking for a gaming notebook (or one primarily for that).  You're not going to find any system -- from any manufacturer - in the sub-$1,000 price market that's well suited to gaming.  Can you play games on them?  Yes, you can -- if you keep your expectations reasonable.  You will not see  the ability to play at full video settings on any notebook in this class - you can reduce the video demands on the system, and play at lower speed, yes.

If you do not have the $1,500 or so a true entry-level gaming notebook costs, buy a desktop.  A sub-$1,000 desktop CAN be a very good gaming system in a way NO sub-$1,000 notebook ever will be.

Notebooks built to sell for $500-900 simply do not have the profit margins built into them to incorporate high end video chips -- and notebook CPUs are designed for power efficiency, not high performance.

The basic principles of physics make it exceedingly difficult to build in speedy, power-hungry parts into notebook computers, where thermal management is difficult.  And the profit margins on low-end notebooks are extremely tight - so the engineering margins aren't there.

They tell me in Emuparadise forums this "that Dell laptop is not suited for PC games or PS2 emulation" Is that true? How an i7 - 2 GB Graphics not be suited for PC games??!!! Doesn't that sound strange?

It's shown "Intel(R) HD Graphics Family" with 2560 MB Dedicated Video Memory" when I check the Advanced Settings in Screen resolution menu

And when I right-Click an empty space on Desktop I see "AMD Control panel" installed???!!!

So this AMD is just an illusion and is not a graphics adapter??

And so the Dedicated 2 GB Graphics is the Intel one??

The HP one which is more expensive than this dell is also the same. I see two different graphics adapter under "Display adapters" in Device Manager" one is "Intel(R) HD Family 4700 and the other one is nVIDIA Geoforce.

But still, I will be able to play games better and faster than this TOSHIBA I already have?

Don't tell me the TOSHIBA is better because it has 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470??!!

Is it will be better than that TOSHIBA, I will go with it because I can only afford laptops at cheap and reasonable price right now.
