HELP ME PLEASE!!! DELL TOUCHPAD ISSUES!!!

Hello,

I'm in serious need of some help because I can't figure out how to fix my touchpad settings on my laptop!  I'm still using my Dell Inspiron 1525, which runs Windows Vista!  For quite a while now I've come to realize that my settings on my touchpad had seem to change... I've struggled for hours trying to figure out where to go and how to change the settings... However, there is no setting tab for the touchpad and now I cannot use the "slider thingies" on the touchpad!!! I've tried to click a link on here from someone's post but an error message popped up on the scene! G R E A T ! ! ! When I thought there was hope, here comes doom, lol! May I please get someone to help me, pretty please :) and THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Hi Moodee88,

It appears that the touchpad drivers are missing. You may download the touchpad driver from Here. Follow the on-screen instructions and restart the computer when prompted.

Once the driver is installed you may change the touchpad settings by following the steps below :

  • Click on Start
  • Click on Control Panel
  • Click on Hardware and Sound
  • Click on Mouse -> Dell Touchpad

Hope this helps.
