HELP ...PLEASE..... ERROR

hi guys

I used to have a password on my laptop, however over one month ago i removed the login password for windows. So for over a month i have been logging on and off with no issues or having to provide a password. For the last 3 -4 days i have not used my laptop, when i attempted to log onto it today there was a start up error, i followed the prompts and the computer did a repair and restarted..... this time .... when it started it cam up with a password.... the password hint is from my previous, however the password that matches the hint does not work..... i dont have any of my original discs or a password reset disc's. Is there anyway i can bypass the password??? i have also tried a password cracker which comes up telling me there was no passwords found. Any HELP would be greatly appreciated as this computer has all of my family photos and other important documents.

Hi Megan,

Please share the system model and operating system installed.

It is possible that Startup Repair might have performed system restore to a back date when there was password applied to log into Windows. You may try draining the residual charge from the system. Here are the steps:

Disconnect any external peripherals (flash drives, printers, external hard drives) from the computer including battery and AC Adapter.
Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds.
Reconnect the battery and the adapter. Try to restart the computer and check.

If the issue still persist, you might contact a local technician to help you back up your data from the hard drive as you will need to reinstall Windows.

> make sure that 'Caps Lock' on your keyboard  is not active when you type the password ! > It is embarrassingly easy to reset a XP/Vista/Win7 password but it would be against the house rules to tell you how    it is done.
