Help!!! What does it mean, and how do I fix this problem?
I am not computer savy, and need to know what does it mean when dirty files detected when I first boot up my computer?
Also, I have a software game that I have installed and have had no problems playing, but then it started kicking me out in the middle of my game.
And now when I start to upload my software games it just kicks out in the middle of uploading, why is it doing this and how can I fix this problem?
My computer has been doing some other weird things and I am thinking about uninstalling all my computer programs and reistalling them with the back up CDs. How risky is this? Is this a good idea? I can not afford professional help, and hope that I will be able to fix this myself.

Hi,
I am not familiar with the term "dirty files". Where/When do you get this message and what exactly does it say?

Also.. what Operating System are you running? Windows 98, ME ,2000 or XP? The Operating System kinda "deteriorates" over time.I am not saying you have to reinstall to fix your problem. I am still not sure exactly what the problem is but most would agree Win 9X should be reinstalled on a yearly basis to keep performance at a maximum and problems to a minimum. However, installing a better operating system would be the best thing to do if you decide to reinstall.

I have windows XP and lately every time I the first thing it does it tells me that there are some dirty files, and then it goes into a list of files and starts automatically deleting them, then when it is done it starts to reinstall the files.
This has been happening for the last three days, but this morning it started up the usual way. Maybe whatever the problem was is now fixed. I will cross my fingers.
I also hope that this means that my software game will now work.
