Help ! Windows Installer stuck in a loop installing Touchpad driver

HELP !
The windows installer is tsuck ina perpetual reboot loop trying to reinstall the touchpad drivers after the dell technician crashed my operating system while replacing a faulty motherboard

I have tried shutting down the Installer in Windows Systems Services (win2k)
but either its not running or wont stop (depending)

I am stuck with a limping operating system that i cant patch and repair, because nothing else can be installed till i solve this problem

I have also tried downloading the latest drivesr and overiding the old ones but to no avail

any thought appreciated
its driving me crazy
i need my laptop for work!!! without it i'm unemployed and all due to a dell error not mine wah!
