Help with lcd cover question

Does the D800 lcd cover fit on a 8600? I have the opportunity to replace my 8600 with the nice D800 aluminum cover, but I'm not sure if it fits. And yes, I know if i was to send the laptop in I would have to replace it with the original. But after returning my HP zt3000, I really miss that aluminum cover.

Does anyone have any knowledge in this area?
