horizontal line flickers on screen

when i play Counter strike source and half life two, my screen flickers and then there are like little horizontal thin lines. that  and the display is a little disoriented. i dont know whats wrong.
 
im not playing on the highest video settings, i bought a new monitor for more resolution and i have a 7900Gs ,.   it is really annoying!
 
can someone help me out with how to fix this problem?

i have an E1405 and mine is doing the same thing. please see my post to see if the picture i posted represents what you see.

that sounds like your video card just being too weak to handle the graphics. the e1405 is not much of a gaming laptop. it uses the system's memory, not it's own dedicated memory so the speed the graphics is only as good as the availability and speed of ur system's memory. Graphics intensive games like counterstrike need higher end video cards.. so it doesnt sound like a problem so much as a limitation.

well its not that bad. i play games and stuff on it like counter strike source and when i turn in the game theres horizontal flickers and its really annoying.  anyone know wht the problem is?
