how can i block a file?

how can i block a file like so that someone else who may be using my computer cannot read it?

Simplest solution would be to create user accounts and assign that folder to a separate user account. If you want to access that file, you need to know the log in details for that certain account.

You can also use third party programs. One really good one is Folder Guard NT. It can deny access and hide folders. Works really well.

Google it.  If it is an office file, you can password protect them file by file.
