How to disable no battery warning message?

Hi All,

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop and my battery is currently not working. Every time when I boot / restart my PC, it shows the message "Press F1 to continue"

Is there a way to disable this message? I searched in BIOS settings but no use..

Pls suggest.

Hi pradeeptu,

This issue might happen due to AC Adaptor non- functionality, so request you to follow the below steps:

(1) Turn on the computer.

(2) Keep tapping F2 key at the Dell Logo, the BIOS screen appears.

(3) At the BIOS screen, scroll down and select ‘POST behavior’.

(4) Now choose’ Adaptor warnings’.

(5) Using the left/right arrow keys select ‘off’ in Adaptor warnings.

This should fix the issue, if not please reply with the complete error message and more details about the issue.

Hi pradeeptu,

I request you to give more information about the issue along with a picture where you get this error, if possible. Also send me the system service tag through private message.

I have added you as a friend. Please accept my friend request by clicking on my name highlighted in blue and then click on “Friends” tab at the top and then click on “Request to Review” and finally click on “Accept” button.

I am sending you a private message as well. Click on “Inbox” to respond to the message and provide system’s Service Tag and contact details so I may access your system records and check for further course of action. You could also click on Start Conversation to send a private message.

Hi pradeeptu,

This issue might happen due to a battery or a Motherboard issue, to determine the same I Request you to follow the below steps:

(1) Please turn off the computer, remove all the external peripherals like USB, keyboard, AC Adaptor, etc.

(2) Press and hold the power button for 30sec it releases the static on the computer, if present.

(3) Now put the battery back, plug the AC Adaptor and check if the same error message appears.

(4) If the same message appears, turn off the computer and remove the battery.

(5) Plug only the AC Adaptor and turn on the computer to check if the same issue happens.

(6) If yes, then try using the below link to update BIOS:

http://dell.to/SIELQg

(7) Try using a known good battery (if available). If that battery works, then the existing battery is faulty and needs to be replaced.

(8) If this doesn’t work, check battery health meter.

If the battery health meter is low then the battery is faulty and needs to be replaced.
