How to disable Synaptic Touchpad notification
One of the best things to happen to my 1501/w Vista Home Basic, was to have the touchpad disabled when using a USB mouse.
The problem is that on startup, I get the balloon notification in systray that says "The Synaptic touchpad has been disabled while a USB mouse is in use..." or something to that effect. I have to close that each startup....its a little annoyance, but I would like to turn off that notification.
Anyone found a way to do that?
TIA

Well you can't really disable the touch icon. You can though try the "msconfig" in the run dialog. And see if you can disable it. But if you do that I don't think your software part of it will work. You can start using the stock driver it seems to work without the notifications. Thats why I don't use the driver with the DELL software.
