How To Only Use GPU! [Help]
Got myself a Inspiron 15r. All I want to do at the moment is to use the dedicated GPU and not the integrated. Also the Catalyst Control Centre doesn't seem to detect when I'm playing games so I don't get the performance I should be getting. I basically want to turn off switch-able graphics and only use the dedicated graphics chip
How do I only use my GPU and not integrated? My laptop is always plugged in so battery isn't an issue.
Thanks

Look at your Device Manager, Display and report the model of video card and model of integrated video. Are you sure you have a separate card? On some models it is optional and must be specially ordered. Also there are many models named 15R. You need to say exactly which model you have.

You cannot disable the Intel video - all the video signals pass through the GPU on the core. You choose which video chip you want to use for each application using the AMD Catalyst control panel.

I have AMD Radeon HD 7730m
and Intel 4000.
The problem I have is when I'm playing games it doesn't switch to the 7730m

I'm getting 15 fps on low settings for Saints Row the Third and I've searched online and I should be getting much higher for the 7730m.

Where are you seeing that it doesn't switch? Does the game support switching graphics (not all do)?
