Icon problem - I have read every faq
hi,
problem regarding dell 8600. before u proceed please know i have read every faq and tried every fix.
why is it that when i have my res at 120dpi all my task bar icons are blurry. i know it can be done, because somehow it was working at an earlier stage, but upon reinstalling its back to how it was when i bought the thing.
so once again, taskbar icons and quicklaunch icons are blurry in 120dpi mode. everything else is fine with this res. ive edited the registry values, and all that stuff mentioned in the faq's. i dont want 96dpi either, i want 120dpi. without blurry icons. this should work, ive seen it work, how is it done???
please help. this needs to be fixed permantley for future models guys

can you please explain this a bit better

ok i go to display properties - and then where?
can you please specify where exactly and what number you are suggesting to change? what is it a number for??

Try display properties-advance-caption button, and then change the size to a smaller number. I read a post about this, and I think the size they liked was 24, try deferent sizes to see which one you like.

the icon selection only applies to items on the desktop? any idea which applies to taskbar/quicklaunch icons???
