Inspiron 1120 processor upgrade ?

Hi all,

I have a dell inspiron 1120 and was wondering if it is even possible to get a processor upgrade.

I'm looking for a processor that can run games (and yes all of the other hardware on my laptop is up to that standard)

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

Not really -  the dual core likely won't help much and is slower.  This just isn't a gaming notebook.

Hi Paract,

Dell has tested Inspiron 1120 with following processors :

  • AMD V105, Single Core, 1.2GHz
  • Athlon II Neo K125, Single Core, 1.7 GHz
  • Athlon II Neo K325, Dual Core, 1.3 GHz

Processor on Dell Inspiron 1120 system is embedded on system board. If you wish to upgrade processor, system board replacement would be required.

Note : Dell does not recommend or offer processor upgrade but it is as per your discretion in case you really wish to go ahead with it. Warranty per say, issues arising due to the upgrade will not be covered under warranty , however we will continue providing support for other issues and parts.

Hope this helps.
