Inspiron 1150 Error M1004

Hi,
 
I have this weired problem with my Inpiron 1150 Notebook.  Whenever i try to start generating the Movie from the Windows Movie maker, it turns my notebook off and when i start it gives me Error Code #M1004 and telling me that "Your computer has been overheated and for protection purpose it has been turned off automatically".  It really ate my head as i can't generate my movie successfully.  It goes upto 60-70% and then my notebook turned off.
 
Even my laptop processor fan is not blocked or running perfectly, i got this problem.  Can anyone help me out ????  I guess there might be problem with the particular programs which required more processing or more memory. It happens when i try to use Windows Movie maker and try to run my SQL Sever which returns too many results.
 
Can any one solve my problem ??? I have searched lots of other forums and it looks like i have to upgrade my BIOS. but i am not sure about it.  If i have to upgrade my BIOS where can i get the suitable version for my BIOS????

Thanks for your quick reply.  I didn't know about it's capabilities and limitations.  I will upgrade the BIOS and will see if it works, otherwise i will try to do it on my desktop system.

You can try upgrading the BIOS (support.dell.com, enter service tag, downloads, flash BIOS updates), but the system is ill-suited to demanding tasks like video encoding - that thrashes the CPU, which, if it's a Celeron, makes things even worse. The relatively slow notebook drive doesn't help, either.

You may simply need a higher-powered system -- specifically a desktop - to do this job.
