Inspiron 15R SE Touch pad problem

I recently got my Inspiron 15R SE, but the problem is that my touchpad mouse pointer speed gets reset after every reboot. I updated and triend reinstalling it but no change. Please help me. It is Elan touchpad but named as dell touchpad.

Hi Perin,

Check the status of touchpad in safe mode.

  • Hold the Shift button and mash the F8 key, this will sometimes boot you into the new advanced “recovery mode”.
  • Click on the Troubleshoot option
  • Select Advanced Options
  • Now choose the Windows Startup Settings option, by the looks of things we were never meant to find Safe Mode.
  • Finally hit the Restart button.

When your PC reboots you will be able to boot into Safe Mode.

If the touchpad shows the same behavior in safe mode, try updating the Touchpad Driver from the below mentioned link:
