inspiron 5100 internal speaker problems

i have inspiron 5100 internal speaker problems. i can't hear the sounds from my internal speakers. i know i don't have problems with sound card because i can hear the sounds from my headphones. but some how the switch which alternates between speakers and the headphones is not working. had anybody had problems with this before . if so what is the solution.

apch,

it's a problem with the headphone jack. If you're under warranty you should contact Dell to have it fixed.

I have a similar problem with my internal 5100 speakers. They started buzzing and now at full blast barely any sound comes out. The headphone jack is the same deal. Do I need to replace the speakers?

my warrenty expired in june. i am thinking of external usb sound card since i don't want to replace my motherboard and don't want get ripped of by dell .
