Inspiron 5150 Video Problems
I've taken some A+ certification stuff and I have no idea where this stuff is coming from. I just had Dell replace the some of the insides, which better have included the video card and I know they replaced the LCD screen, but take a look at these screen shots:

I've been having these problems for several months. Until the last few days, I only had problems when playing games, and only occaisonally then. Around the end of Nov. the problems intensified and I sent my system in to get some parts replaced. When I got it back, it worked for the first day and then started having problems again on occaison. Within the last few days it's gotten so bad that if i surf the internet for too long or simply leave the computer on for awhile, it freaks out like this. Can anyone offer any insights to this?

Just for reference, the first screenshot is simply my desktop (with a warcraft III background) and the second is a screenshot taken during Star Wars: Galaxies.

You're seeing the famous "blue rain" problem. Upgrade to the latest A29 BIOS, and install the latest 45.85 driver and you should be fine.

The BIOS can be found here:
https://support.dell.com/FileLib/Format.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&Category=0&OS=WW1&OSL=EN&SvcTag=&SysID=INS_PNT_P4_5150&DeviceID=5015&Type=&ReleaseID=R70928
The updated video driver can be found here:
https://support.dell.com/FileLib/Type.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&Category=0&OS=WW1&OSL=EN&SvcTag=&SysID=INS_PNT_P4_5150&DeviceID=5008
In each case, just download the program to your desktop and run it.
Good luck!

Sorry, I should have clarified- I have the ATI Mobility Pro 9000 card in mine (64 mb edition). I just downloaded the latest omega drivers as well as the updated BIOS and i'm still not having any luck. Tech support is saying just send it back again but that didn't do jack last time...
